Database Administrator

We search

• You are in charge of the day-to-day management of database systems and related development tools.
• You are responsible for the design, administration and provision of upgrades
• You guarantee documentation about installations, procedures and solutions
• You monitor and optimize database performance
• You ensure availability, confidentiality and security of database systems
• You develop, manage and test backup and recovery plans
• You play an advisory role for the software development team and define standards on naming, data models and architecture in a substantiated way
• You are actively investigating the need for renewal and / or expansion of existing databases and infrastructure.

Profile

• You already have a solid experience (minimum 3 years) as Database Administrator.
• You have a diploma of higher education, university or an equivalent knowledge level acquired through experience.
• You have a solid knowledge of database management systems (MySQL innodb, MySQL NDB, Galera Cluster, MS-SQL Cluster, ...) and noSQL solutions (Hbase, ElasticSearch, MongoDB) or are willing to learn if not all systems are familiar
• Knowledge of technical infrastructure, scripting and devops is a plus!
• You are captivated by new technologies, including Big Data.
• You are Dutch or French speaking mother tongue with a good knowledge of the other language and English.
